''FRIENSHIP THROUGH FLOWERS''

Ikebana is the art of flower arrangements belonging to the Japanese tradition as are Tea Ceremony and Calligraphy. Ikebana was introduced in the 6th century through Buddhism spreading in Japan along with the ritual of flowers as an offering to Buddha statues.

By the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century the flower arrangement becomes established with a set of rules that would be the basics, as well as the inclusion of the tokonoma, a kind of niche to display objects in the traditional Japanese homes.

At the turning of the 18th century, the art of ikebana gets popularity and is developed further through the creation of schools where the teaching is presented to numerous followers interested in Japan tradition, art, and culture.
